Tanja Dabo: Videoinstallation
Bei der Ausstellung im MAERZ werde ich zwei Videos zeigen, eines – “You are a beautiful person” – ist in Form einer Videoinstallation präsentiert und das andere – “Nature” – als Video Projektion.
“You are a beautiful person” ist eine Arbeit, die mit dem Betrachter direkt und persönlich kommuniziert, indem sie unserer eigenen Idealisierung von uns selbst schmeichelt, aber diese auch in Frage stellt und ironisiert.
“Nature” bringt Kommunikation, die woanders stattgefunden hat, eine Konversation über einen Sachverhalt, die so wichtig wie irrelevant zugleich ist. Es ist ein Segment eines Gedanken und einer Konversation zum Thema der menschlichen Natur.
Ivana Franke: Raster (Installation)
Ivana Franke erarbeitet ihre Installation immer in Bezug auf die vorgegebene
räumliche Situation und erforscht den jeweiligen Raum und die Wahrnehmung materieller Präsenz. Mit Hilfe von Paraffin, Papier, Holzpaneelen oder Angelschnüren erzeugt sie geometrische Strukturen und Rhythmen, die den Raum zu erklären versuchen.
Die Künstlerin versucht sich in der Materialisierung des Immateriellen. Ihre transparenten, kaum wahrnehmbaren Arbeiten sind räumliche Konstruktionen und dienen als lineare Basis um Räume zu erobern. Oftmals sind sie als Raster definiert. Wesentliche Merkmale von Frankes Arbeiten sind Transparenz, Fragilität, Oberfläche und Porösität.
