In seiner künstlerischen Arbeit rückt er immer wieder Objekte aus ihren angestammten (Bedeutungs-) Räumen und stellt sie so selbstreflexiv infrage. Dabei vermittelt er auch eine grundlegende Skepsis gegenüber physischen wie geistigen Eingrenzungen und territorialen Machtansprüchen.

geboren 1958 in Oberösterreich, lebt und arbeitet in Wien und Linz. 1980-1987 Studium an der Kunsthochschule in Linz. Seit 1992 Dozent an der Kunstuniversität Linz und an der Universität für Angewandte Kunst Wien. Hauptsächliche Arbeitsgebiete: interdisziplinäre Rauminstallationen, Kunst im öffentlichen Raum, Objekte, bildgebende Medien. Zahlreiche Projekte und Ausstellungen im In- und Ausland. Mehrere Auszeichnungen, u.a. Talentförderungspreis OÖ., Staatsstipendium für bildende Kunst, Kunstpreis der Stadt Linz; Auslandsstipendien u.a. in den USA, Ägypten, Kanada, Brasilien, Spanien.
In his artistic work, he repeatedly moves objects out of their traditional (meaning) spaces and thus questions them in a self-reflective manner. In the course of this he also conveys a fundamental skepticism about physical and intellectual restrictions and territorial claims to power.
